Why this Blog ?

Dear friends,
During a time, when the Postmasters are seriously exploited in the name of modernization / computerization especially in Project Arrow Post Offices with clear avoidance of Blue Book instructions by the administration , pressurized and overburdened with unnecessary additional workloads due to excessive staff shortage especially in Head Offices and MDGs, shouldering additional responsibilities without any extra remuneration and even without actual pay in most of the cases at the sweet will of the administration especially in the cadres of LSG . HSG-II and HSG-I and regularly working beyond the normal working hours being unaware of their health, family and other social responsibilities / commitments on one hand and the apathetic attitude of the Staff Side towards the Postmasters especially towards the Fast Track officials of Odisha Circle with all vindictive activities supplying incorrect information and misguiding the Odisha Circle administration not to give the Fast Track officials their legitimate rights in due time ( though not succeeded due to timely steps taken by a few Postmasters from Fast Track group in an organized way ) which is still continuing by some who are quite unaware of rules and positions of the above cadre on the other, opening of “postmastersodisha.blogspot.com” is a noble step with an intention not only to educate the Postmasters with rules and procedures and safe guard their interests but also to maintain peace and harmony amongst all the India Post employees in particular and all the working class in general through publication of up-to-date information relating to India Post, making aware the Postmasters and other employees their rights and duties, analyzing the impact of various circulars / orders issued by the Govt. from time to time and taking every effort to be Postmasters friendly.
Hope all the Postmasters will appreciate this noble step taken by a person who loves his colleagues and Department too much and has only intention to work for the country, to think for the Department and to help the people in need.
We need everybody’s support , suggestion and advice. We welcome everybody’s comments and criticism to make the blog better and more informative.

  2. What do you do about a Postmaster of a small office that works her supervisor directly below her 6-7 days a week, 5:30 am-6:30pm. She works 4-5 days a week 8-5.
